James Moak has been a Paralegal in Ontario for over 41 years.   He has represented over 1,000 individuals and companies in cases in Small Claims Court, residential landlord and tenant, Excise  Act, Tobacco Tax Act, Provincial Offences including Highway Traffic tickets, Summary Criminal charges, and numerous other Provincial and Federal tribunals;  and Pardons.

Mr. Moak had a section of the Highway Traffic Act deemed to contravene the Charter.

Successfully represented numerous parties in small claims court with the largest award of cost being $4,000 to his client. (cost not award)   James Moak does bill on contingency, on approved files,  with the maximum fee being 30% of funds recovered exclusive of disbursements.

He has gained valuable insight by being a member of Paralegal Society of Ontario’s Board of Directors, and Executive.

As a past member of the Deputy Judges Council of Ontario; has allowed him to develop a strong appreciation and application of the administrative and educational requirements of the Small Claims court in Ontario.

Through his innovative approach and fearless representation of his clients he has gained a reputation of being a strong advocate with exceptional results.

James Moak was born and raised in the Cornwall Ontario area.   Graduate of St.Lawrence College, Kingston Law Office Procedures program.    Certificates from the American Management Association of Ontario.  Deputy Judges Council of Ontario – Past President SD&G Landlord Association – Past Chairman and volunteer Stormont County Fair – Director and member of Executive Paralegal Society of Ontario.   Speaker and Instructor various Paralegal training seminars and conferences.

Proud father of two sons; and grand-father of three beautiful grand-daughters, Mr. Moak is an avid Sportsman and heavily involved with his community.
